Lorqa – Local AI Translator

Acerca de esta app

Lorqa is a translation and subtitle application designed for iOS and macOS users who prioritize privacy and offline functionality. Unlike cloud-based services, Lorqa executes large language models directly on the user’s device, ensuring that all data remains local and secure. The app supports real-time transcription of audio and video content across 25 languages, generating floating bilingual subtitles that can be dragged and customized within the interface.

The software allows users to select from multiple local models, including Qwen3 (0.6B and 1.7B variants) and Gemma3. It also supports importing models directly from Ollama and LM Studio, providing flexibility for advanced users. The developer notes that smaller models like Qwen3 0.6B 4-bit offer translation quality comparable to established commercial tools while maintaining low latency. The interface is designed to be distraction-free, focusing solely on efficient text conversion and subtitle management. While the app is free to download, it utilizes an auto-renewing subscription model for continued access to features.
