关于这款应用
Select To Search AI Assistant is a macOS utility designed to minimize repetitive actions when interacting with AI tools. Developed by Pranoy Chowdhury, it operates as a lightweight (approx. 1.5 MB) convenience layer that integrates with existing AI applications rather than providing its own generative models. The app uses macOS Accessibility permissions to read selected text, clipboard content, or screen regions, then automatically formats these inputs as prompts for user-selected AI assistants like ChatGPT. Users can manage the floating assistant window through extensive keyboard shortcuts, including toggling transparency, pinning the window above other apps, switching between different AI services, and editing prompts before submission. It supports various input types such as current selection, full line, entire document, partial/full screenshots, and clipboard data. The software respects local privacy by processing selections on-device, though data sent to third-party AI assistants remains subject to their respective policies. It offers a free trial with an optional one-time purchase model, avoiding subscriptions or ads.

- Upon request from users, added 2 new keyboard shortcuts: Command (⌘) + W = Quits assistant windows Command (⌘) + Q = Quits the app entirely - App now supports selecting files to upload to an assistant. The free trial version lets you use all features for free. Although trial is unlimited, a one-time-only in-app-purchase ensures continued improvements, updates, and pays for development costs over the years. I do not use subscriptions, ads, or trackers. You can also leave me a positive rating on the app store as that helps get the word out to others. Thank you for supporting small indie development.
