LingCode is a coding assistant application available on iOS and macOS, developed by HainanMandi Tech Inc. The app allows users to chat with leading AI models, including OpenAI (GPT), Anthropic (Claude), DeepSeek, and Gemini, to understand code, receive suggestions, and answer project-related questions. Users can switch between providers in the settings and add their own API keys, which are stored securely in the system Keychain. Alternatively, users can utilize a free on-device model on devices with Apple Intelligence for offline use.

Key features include Project Context, where users can add folders from iCloud Drive or import from GitHub to receive relevant, contextual answers based on their specific codebase. The app also offers Code Browsing capabilities, allowing users to browse files, search by name or content, and view code in a clean reader interface. A “Ask about this file” feature enables quick explanations of specific files. Voice Input is supported via a microphone button for hands-free interaction.

LingCode supports multiple chat sessions, enabling users to create separate conversations, switch between them, and save prompts for reuse. Chat transcripts can be shared or exported for record-keeping. The app includes Dark and Light mode options, adjustable font sizes, and Usage Tracking to monitor token usage and estimated costs per session. On iOS, LingCode functions as a read-only assistant; it can read and explain code but does not edit files or run terminal commands. Full editing capabilities are available on the Mac version. The app requires a LingCode account or Apple ID sign-in and offers auto-renewable monthly subscriptions for Pro and Max Pro tiers.
