Private & Local AI: Loci

इस ऐप के बारे में

Loci provides a local-first AI experience for macOS users who prioritize privacy and offline functionality. The application allows users to run large language models directly on their Mac, ensuring that chats, files, and images remain on the device rather than being sent to external cloud servers. This design supports everyday tasks such as drafting text, summarizing documents, reasoning through ideas, and analyzing code snippets.

The interface is designed for productivity, featuring a polished chat environment with keyboard shortcuts and support for light and dark modes. Users can drag and drop files and images into the chat for context. Loci simplifies model management by helping users utilize existing local models or guiding them to download new ones, with options to switch between simple recommendations and advanced controls. For longer sessions, automatic context compaction helps manage memory usage. Voice input is available for hands-free operation, requested only when needed. The app also includes safeguards for memory-heavy models and offers local API support for power users. Built specifically for Mac, it focuses on providing a clean, efficient tool for writing, research, and planning without an internet connection.
