Mindute AI is a privacy-focused assistant for iPhone that runs open-source AI models directly on the device. It eliminates the need for user accounts by keeping conversations, documents, images, and downloaded models entirely local. Users can download various models from sources like Meta, Google, and Hugging Face to handle tasks such as everyday chat, coding, reasoning, and image understanding. The app features a Roundtable mode for comparing multiple models side-by-side on the same topic. It supports attaching photos, PDFs, and text files for local analysis, extracting text from receipts and screenshots, and generating images via Apple Image Playground on supported devices. Voice dictation and offline live voice chats are available. Users can create custom agents, adjust response parameters, and manage chat history. Local tools include calculation, OCR, translation, and clipboard actions. The app collects no analytics or crash reporting, and optional cloud access uses the user’s own API keys directly to providers.
