Whisper: On-Device AI

Acerca de esta app

Whisper is an iOS application designed for users prioritizing digital privacy and security. Unlike many AI assistants that rely on cloud infrastructure, Whisper processes all interactions locally on the iPhone using offline AI models. This architecture ensures that no personal data, conversations, or usage metrics are transmitted to external servers, eliminating risks associated with data harvesting, tracking, or profiling.

The app provides core generative AI functionalities including question answering, email and message rewriting, brainstorming assistance, daily planning, and text summarization. These features operate without requiring an internet connection, making it suitable for use in environments with limited connectivity or heightened security concerns. The developer, AVA TECHNOLOGIES GLOBAL LTD, emphasizes transparency by publishing the codebase under a Fair Source license, allowing users to verify the absence of cloud dependencies.

Key design principles include zero account creation, no sign-up barriers, and the removal of advertising or data extraction mechanisms. Recent updates have refined the user interface and removed audio features to focus strictly on private, local text-based intelligence. Whisper targets individuals who require AI assistance but refuse to compromise their data ownership or privacy standards.
