Promptly for AI

Acerca de esta app

Promptly is a macOS-native utility designed to streamline interactions with text found anywhere on the screen. By leveraging optical character recognition (OCR), it extracts content from screenshots, blurry images, or handwritten notes, allowing users to apply AI-powered actions immediately. The app eliminates the need for manual copying, pasting, or switching tabs between applications.

Key features include one-click access to pre-built prompts, such as “Explain Like I’m 5,” alongside the ability to create custom prompts. This functionality supports various use cases: editing and reformatting messy drafts, polishing emails, restructuring notes, performing instant translations of text from websites or apps, and summarizing articles, meeting notes, or research papers. For developers and coders, it offers tools to auto-format code, debug errors, or understand snippets. The application is described as fast, private, and lightweight, functioning similarly to the built-in macOS screenshot tool. A pro plan with higher daily limits is available for power users who wish to skip manual prompt typing and run custom actions on any text block.
