Acerca de esta app
PDF Search is a macOS application designed to index and search large collections of PDF documents. It utilizes advanced indexing and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to make text within images and scanned documents searchable. The software supports intelligent Natural Language Processing (NLP) to handle multilingual queries and convert various file formats, such as Microsoft Office and Pages, into searchable PDFs.
The application distinguishes itself by offering flexible AI integration options. Users can prioritize privacy by connecting to local Large Language Models through Ollama or LM Studio, ensuring no data leaves the device. Alternatively, users may provide their own Google Gemini API key to leverage cloud-based generative AI for document interaction. The app emphasizes security by not requiring full document uploads to external servers for basic searching. It includes subscription options for Pro features and credit packs, with auto-renewal managed through the iTunes account.
