Otio: AI Research Assistant

Acerca de esta app

Otio serves as an AI research assistant designed to consolidate fragmented information sources into a single, searchable library. The application supports the ingestion of diverse file types, including PDFs, Word documents, EPUBs, images, audio, and video, alongside web links and notes. Users can interact with their collected data through context-aware AI chats that generate answers grounded in specific sources, complete with tapable citations. Key capabilities include summarizing long-form content such as academic papers and transcripts, generating outlines and first drafts, and performing internal web searches to capture new sources directly into the chat interface. The platform allows users to organize their workflow into color-coded ‘Spaces’ tailored for specific projects, clients, or classes. Integration with major cloud storage providers like Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive, as well as reference managers like Zotero and Mendeley, facilitates seamless import workflows. Additionally, Otio offers built-in text-to-speech functionality for listening to AI responses and supports image generation within the chat environment. The service is available on iOS with a free tier that includes agentic AI features and access to multiple large language models, while premium subscriptions unlock higher upload limits and advanced workflow tools.
