NativeX is a visual development tool designed for iOS engineers, prompt engineers, and AI enthusiasts to experiment with Apple’s on-device intelligence. It allows users to build prompt pipelines as graph-based workflows of cards, connecting them with variables to run inference directly on the device. The app mirrors actual Apple framework calls, displaying exact Swift symbols like LanguageModelSession and NLTokenizer, which helps users transfer knowledge directly to Xcode development.

Key features include building complex prompt groups with few-shot examples, guided JSON generation with custom schemas, and access to 17 native operations such as tokenization, OCR, speech transcription, and sentiment analysis. It supports human-in-the-loop interactions by allowing pauses for user input during runs. For evaluation, NativeX provides LLM-ops capabilities including step-level execution traces, dataset batch processing, and on-device scoring using an LLM-as-judge model. All processing occurs locally on compatible hardware, ensuring privacy as no prompts or media leave the iPhone. The application requires an iPhone 15 Pro or newer with iOS 26 or later and Apple Intelligence enabled.
