On Mac devices, it extends functionality to vision understanding and image generation using Stable Diffusion and FLUX models. The application features smart memory management, automatically unloading idle models to optimize RAM usage, and includes a ‘Smart Memory’ feature to retain conversation context. For users with iOS 26+ or macOS 26+, MLX Studio integrates with Apple Intelligence, allowing seamless switching between built-in Apple AI and custom MLX models. Built with SwiftUI, it offers a native experience across iPhone, iPad, and Mac platforms.
