Extension AI

Acerca de esta app

Extension AI is a utility tool designed for iOS and macOS Safari browsers, developed by Pierre Stanislas. It functions as an overlay that leverages ChatGPT’s language model to assist with web browsing tasks. Users can select specific text snippets or allow the extension to analyze full webpages. Upon activation, the app offers several distinct actions: asking questions about the content, performing fact-checking with sourced verification, generating concise summaries of long articles, providing simple explanations (ELI5), extracting key points, translating text into one of eleven supported languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean), and generating thought-provoking questions. The interface requires selecting text, clicking the extension icon, and choosing the desired action to receive instant insights. While marketed towards students, researchers, and professionals, user feedback indicates mixed experiences regarding functionality and redirection behaviors.
