About this app

<p>Skales is an AI agent that does the work, not just the talking. Give it a job and it plans the steps, uses real tools - calendar, tasks, web, files, contacts - and delivers a finished result, asking your permission at every step. It runs on the AI of your choice, pairs with your computer, and keeps everything it knows about you on your device. No terminal, no setup. Install in seconds.</p>
<p>WHAT AN AGENT DOES THAT A CHATBOT CANNOT<br />
"Plan my Friday" becomes a structured schedule in your real calendar. "Research this and write me a briefing" becomes cited sources and a document. "Open a ticket and tell me what they answer" becomes an API call, made with your approval, with the reply shown to you. Turn on Pocket Run and the agent keeps working across many steps until the job is done - it does not stop at a wall of text.</p>
<p>EVERY MAJOR AI, ONE APP<br />
Start free with Skales IQ - just your email, no API key, no card. Or bring your own key for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, OpenRouter and more. Chat with Claude, GPT, Gemini and dozens of others, pick the reasoning depth per conversation, attach photos and files, and switch models anytime without losing your session.</p>
<p>AUTOMATION WITH A HARNESS<br />
Skales is built as an agent harness: tools, memory, skills and permissions working together. Built-in agents (planner, coder, studio) plus custom agents you build yourself - or a whole team of agents from a preset. A curated skill library ships with the app, from disciplined bug diagnosis to research with cited sources, and the agent reaches for the right one on its own. Every action that touches the outside world asks first. Connect Home Assistant, Spotify or WordPress with your own account.</p>
<p>TALK TO IT - IRIS ORBIT<br />
A full voice mode: talk to Iris Orbit or to your Buddy and it talks back, hands-free, with your tools and approvals working exactly as they do in chat.</p>
<p>MAKE THINGS, NOT JUST ANSWERS<br />
Flow turns a brief into a finished document, deck or motion piece: 74 design aesthetics, your own brand kit, export as PDF, image or self-contained HTML. Lio builds a clickable app or prototype from a sentence - and shows you the plan before it starts. Studio generates images and video and designs social posts you can share to the community feed.</p>
<p>A COMPANION YOU CAN READ<br />
Turn on the companion and a slim mood bar lives in your chat: warm when the work goes well, cool when it does not. Tap it and Conscious tells you what moved it today - no notifications, no sounds, it just shows.</p>
<p>A MEMORY THAT GROWS<br />
Skales remembers what matters across conversations and adapts to you - stored on your device, fully under your control.</p>
<p>YOUR COMPUTER, FROM YOUR POCKET<br />
Pair with the free Skales desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux over your WiFi, and your phone reaches your computer's AI, sessions, files and tools. Or open the in-app web interface from any browser on the same network.</p>
<p>PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE, NOT BY PROMISE<br />
Your conversations and memory stay on your device by default. With your own key, requests go straight from your phone to the provider you chose - Skales runs no servers in between. No account required. No ads, no tracking, no data sold. Optional online features are clearly marked and off by default.<br />
And when you want zero cloud: Skales Local (beta) downloads an openly licensed model once and answers directly on your iPhone or iPad - no key, no connection, even in airplane mode. Each model card says plainly what it can and cannot do.</p>
<p>DISCOVER<br />
A live community feed, topic Spaces, and a personal news briefing pulled straight to your phone.</p>
<p>DESIGNED FOR EVERYONE<br />
Grandma approved AI agent. No technical knowledge needed. 12 languages.</p>
<p>Need help?<br />

Version updates

Version 2.9.46

Skales Mend repairs the loose ends of the last release. Voice stops answering its own echo, a finished answer stays where you can read it, and Studio brings its own model and its craft. VOICE A recording that only repeats the end of what Skales has just said is dropped instead of being sent as your turn. A short answer to a spoken question - a yes, a no, a name - is always kept, and a stop, a permission answer or a longer question keeps its own path whatever else is playing. The switch that holds the microphone closed while Skales speaks now sits in the general voice settings and covers every voice surface, so Voice and Iris open on the same setting you saved. ANSWERS THAT STAY An answer that begins with a "Thinking Process" now folds that part away where the rest of the thinking lives, instead of standing at the top of the reply. A quoted example, or an ordinary sentence about thinking, still reads as text. And a useful answer written just before Skales corrected the name of a tool it was about to use stays in the chat rather than disappearing with the correction - kept alongside the final answer, and counted once, not twice. STUDIO A visual can now run on a provider and model of its own, chosen in the same picker as everywhere else and remembered through a fallback and through a backup restore. When nothing is chosen, a visual brings the full design craft with it - layout, print and motion - instead of none, the card names what it used, and a retry starts from the same choices. The setting speaks all twelve languages, and a job that cannot be stored says so before it starts rather than after. MOTION Scenes can now let an element leave on purpose, with three new eases to leave on, and a scene may hold an element still where the beat asks for stillness rather than making everything enter. A cut hands one scene to the next without an overlap, and stepping forward, back or over the same frame twice lands on exactly the same picture. Alongside the standard engine there is now a free code lane for timelines, drawn by an animation library that ships inside the app. REPORTS AND BACKUPS A reported answer now carries the provider and the model that wrote it, so a report says where the content came from; where an older conversation never recorded it, it stays unknown rather than guessed. A backup import that stops now says what stopped it - the archive, a saved secret or a provider entry - clears the progress screen and lets you try again. SMALLER THINGS The file and music tools your computer offers keep the choices you hand them, page through long folders the same guarded way, and report only what actually happened: music checks where the file is to go before it generates anything, and a generation that finished is never quietly run a second time.

Version 2.9.31

Reflex is named after the second kind of thinking the app can now do. Some of the app's own questions are not writing at all: yes or no, which one of these, how strong. A decision model answers those in a fraction of a second, never writes a word and never sees a picture, and Settings > Advanced now has the control for it beside the assist model. Bring a TypeSafe key, or let the OpenRouter key you already use for chat answer them. It is off to begin with, and off means Skales decides exactly the way it always has; when an answer does not come back, it decides that way too. An incognito conversation, and a phone set to keep everything on itself, never ask at all. Anything Skales makes can be reported, from wherever it is shown. Reporting lived on a chat answer and on the answer Iris had just spoken, and nowhere else, so a page in a preview, a picture, a film, a track, a drawing, a 3D scene and a custom widget were all things you could look at and not flag. Hold a Studio result, a diagram or a preview and the menu that opens is the one the chat already had; where a page or a scene fills the screen and swallows every touch, the flag is drawn on top of it instead. It is one sheet and one wire whichever surface you came from, and the report now says what was flagged and what it was asked for, because a picture has no text to quote back. Offline it is still kept and sent at the next start. Plugins written on the computer now run on the phone as well. Three of them needed something a plugin page cannot reach on its own, and the phone now does it for them. Take meeting notes: the app records, the phone's own speech setup reads it back in short stretches, and each paragraph is stamped with the minute it was said, so the recording is the app's and the page only ever sees the words. Capture a document: a photograph or a scan is stored as the picture it is, under the plugin's own folder, and the rows it read can be handed to another plugin's month sheet. Build a moodboard: images, notes and colours work with no key at all. A plugin reaches its own folder and nothing else. A path a plugin named used to be taken exactly as written, so a folder full of your own documents was one line of somebody else's code away. Every path now lands inside that plugin's own folder, a path that tries to leave is refused by name, and a plugin can no longer write the file that says what it is allowed to do. Bringing a plugin over a second time keeps what you made with it: whatever the use of a plugin produced stays exactly as it is, and before it comes across the screen says what it would replace, what it will leave alone, which tools this phone does not have, and whether it needs a model that is not set up here. A plugin tool that runs too long stops blocking the ones after it, a failure arrives by name instead of in one word, and the shelf says whether a plugin can do its job rather than only whether it is switched on. A code run waiting for your decision is visible on the phone. A run parked on a question used to sit in the list looking merely slow; it now wears a badge in the list, and its own screen says in words that a decision is waiting and where to answer it. The introduction is an offer, not a gate. Starting Skales is the button now, watching the short introduction is the one beside it, and the Guide keeps that door open afterwards. The end of the setup says when something did not save, instead of a button plainly pressed and plainly doing nothing. A skill picked with @ is visible on the message you sent. The chip was drawn in the colour the bubble is filled with, so it left a gap with nothing in it; it carries the bubble's own ink now, in every colour scheme, and the skill a turn was sent with is still named on that message after a restart and after a backup is brought back in. The third-party notices stop naming internal source files, and the licence names a person and a mailbox rather than a street address and a telephone number.
